What the world needs now is love, sweet love
It's the only thing that there's just too little of
What the world needs now is love, sweet love,
No not just for some but for everyone.
Oh, we don't need another mountain,
There are mountains and hillsides enough to climb
There are oceans and rivers enough to cross,
Enough to last till the end of time.
What the world needs now is love, sweet love
It's the only thing that there's just too little of
What the world needs now is love, sweet love,
No, not just for some but for everyone.
Oh, we don't need another meadow
There are cornfields and wheat fields enough to grow
There are sunbeams and moonbeams enough to shine
Oh listen, Lord, if you want to know.[through this whole world, if you want to know]
What the world needs now is love, sweet love
It's the only thing that there's just too little of
What the world needs now is love, sweet love,
No, not just for some but for everyone.
No, not just for some, oh, but just for everyone
bah humbug. sorry, it isn't christmas yet, i can't go into my "mr. scrooge" mood. although he is a weak character, he is just as naive. what if he had woken up all fine and dandy and did not repent? what if he had forgotten about the visits of christmas' ghosts? i don't know.
he would probably continue to be "mr. money is all that matters and no i'm not going to share any with you". now that would be fun. fun for him but no fun for the poor. if only money would rain from the sky. there wouldn't be any problems. then again, there's no such thing as money falling from heaven. this only happens when water is considered an invaluable source of human thirst. so i guess it is like coins from the sky. drop by drop.
even the air we breathe in may not remain free soon.
