After learning that her ex-fiance promised his life to the gods in exchange for hers,
she has been thinking that his being paralysed from the waist down has something or rather, everything to do with that particular promise. Therefore,
she promises her life in exchange for his recovery.
Whether it was a coincidence or not, the moment
she steps out of the temple,
she is almost hit by a car. Her ex-fiance worries and immediately tells her to take back her words. He convinces himself that it is his retribution for crashing into her boyfriend and that he deserves no pity. He tells her not to bother about him and to go America.
Although
she's in America,
she feels that the distance between her boyfriend and her is getting further. This feeling grows stronger, especially when
she notices how serious her boyfriend is when he's working. He doesn't even come close to the person
she knows, and her mind is in a riot of thoughts which confuse her heart.
She keeps thinking that she's not good enough for him and tries to learn to use the computer; all in the name of stopping the drift, which seems to grow with time, between her heart and his. In the midst of the learning and confusion,
she sends him an "I love you" email to him.
She is to follow him, along his parents, to Australia and next, America. Her eldest sister picks out a few pieces of branded wear;
she dazzles in them, earning the praise of everyone in the room. Her eldest sister wants her to learn to wear high-heeled shoes but no matter how hard
she tries
she can't and her sister reprimands her for being dumb.
All of sudden,
she agitatedly raises her voice and says
she has never desired to be a lady of class. Everyone is taken aback.
Her youngest sister knows
she's worried; of not being good enough for him. She tries to assure her, so long as he loves her, it's ok.
She, however, is still not totally convinced if he still loves her, because the one who loves her is the one whom she
used to know before he regained his memory.
He too, feels that the chemistry is gone, so
he rides a bicycle around the area where they met, trying to recreate that special feeling. His ex-girlfriend sees through him and reminds him that she comes from a completely different world.
He pushes all that aside and is sure that
he still loves her.
